Since 2002, federal technologists, security professionals, and program managers have focused on compliance with the Federal Information Security and Management Act (FISMA). Since this security benchmark became part of the federal IT landscape, a number of revisions have been recommended – more continuous monitoring of agency security measures, streamlined requirements, alignment of business objectives with security operations, and reporting automation to minimize current paper-intensive processes.

Although no new legislation replacing FISMA has been enacted to date, a number of government organizations, including the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), in collaboration with the Department of Defense and agencies within the Intelligence Community, have been working diligently to revise the original FISMA publications in anticipation of the proposed revised legislation.

Join this interactive executive briefing and learn:

  • How FISMA 2.0 requirements are expected to differ from original FISMA legislation
  • Migration strategies to move towards future FISMA compliance
  • Key deadlines projected for FISMA 2.0 implementation
  • How continuous monitoring, near real-time risk management, and new metrics will impact agency operations
  • Available resources from government, industry, and academia to support expected agency transitions to FISMA 2.0
  • Practical considerations, such as how to harness the range of mobile devices to effectively manage and continuously monitor endpoint security

Bring your questions and comments as selected industry security experts will be available to address your specific thoughts and concerns about new and emerging tools and technologies that you may be evaluating to meet FISMA 2.0 requirements.
