LTC Ossie L. Peacock, Jr. was commissioned a Second Lieutenant, Aviation Branch in April 1994 after graduating from the United States Army Officer Candidate School (OCS) as a Distinguished Military Graduate. His Aviation assignments include, 1995 - Attack Platoon Leader, C Company, 3rd Battalion, 1st Aviation Regiment, Katterbach, GE, 1997 – Scout Platoon Leader, C Company, 1st Battalion, 1st Aviation Regiment, Katterbach, GE, 2000 – B Company, 1st Battalion, 11th Aviation Regiment, Fort Rucker, AL (Company Commander), 2002 – Spanish Helicopter Battalion, Fort Rucker, AL (BN S2/S3, Operations & Intelligence Officer).

He entered the Army acquisition Corp in 2003 and has held several Acquisition positions including, Assistant Project Manager, Installation Information Infrastructure Capabilities and Communications (I3C2), Defensive Cyber Operations (DCO), Product Manager, Army Contract Writing System, Assistant Project Manager, Apache International (Foreign Military Sales), Redstone Arsenal, AL, Assistant Product Manager, Apache Block III, Redstone Arsenal, AL, TF ODIN III, Systems Integration Chief, COB Speicher, Iraq, Army Liaison Firescout UAS, Interim IPT Lead Tactical Control System and Science & Technology Assistant Lead, PMA-263 and PMA-266, Patuxent River NAS, MD, Assistant TRADOC System Manager(TSM) Soldier (Aviation), Fort Benning, GA.

LTC Peacock holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Professional Aeronautics from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, a Masters of Military Arts and Science from Air University, Maxwell AFB, AL, a Masters’ Degree in Management from Faulkner University, Montgomery, AL and a Masters’ Degree in Systems Engineering from Johns Hopkins University, Baltimore, MD.

He is also a graduate of the USAF Air Command and Staff College, the Defense Acquisition University, Program Manager’s Course, the Combined Arms Staff Service School, the Aviation Captains’ Career Course and the Initial Entry Rotary wing course and the Intro to Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) Test Flight Short Course.

His awards include the Bronze Star Medal, Meritorious Service Medal w/oak leaf cluster, Army Commendation Medal, Army Achievement Medal, Air Force Achievement Medal, and several other awards and badges including the Aviator Badge, Parachutist Badge, Pathfinder Badge, and the Air Assault badge.
