Cloud Session Keynote - Trust and Transformation: The Compelling Case for the Cloud

Presented by:  Peter Coffee, Head of Platform Research, Salesforce.com
10:15 AM - 11:15 AM

As modern public networks continue to demonstrate rising standards of security and governance, their global reach and compelling cost-effectiveness are making “the cloud” the platform of choice for most new efforts and for many process migrations. IT leaders are recognizing that it is now not merely prudent, but increasingly urgent, to take advantage of the collaborative power and the radical process acceleration of massively scalable multi-tenant services: capabilities that tens of thousands of organizations, including many top-tier public sector agencies, are already exploiting to elevate mission performance while lowering both budget and technical risk. IT teams using cloud platform facilities are transforming themselves from infrastructure managers into value creation partners, slashing the backlog of long-desired aids for front-line units.
