Make Data Center Consolidation a Reality
In early 2010, the Federal CIO Council introduced the Federal Data Center Consolidation Initiative(FDCCI) to eliminate redundant computing facilities, optimize in-place infrastructures, and emphasize efficiency and information-sharing within and among Federal enterprise operations. Since then, agencies have been working to inventory their data center assets, develop consolidation plans and integrate these plans into future budget requests.
