Peter has spent the last two decades using direct response techniques to raise funds and generate sales for political, nonprofit, and commercial entities. He started as a copywriter at the nation’s premier conservative direct mail agency, where he helped raise millions of dollars for public policy organizations and statewide and federal campaigns. Peter then served as marketing manager for a national nonprofit focused on conservation issues, where he developed creative partnerships inside and outside the industry. In 1998, he returned to the agency side and continued to oversee direct mail fundraising programs for federal candidates, political committees, and nonprofits. In 2007 Peter joined emotive, llc, an agency focused on online direct response fundraising for conservative candidates and causes, as Executive Vice President. Peter is a respected authority on direct response fundraising and digital advertising, a Google AdWords Certified Individual in Search, Advanced Search, and Display, is a Bing Ads Accredited Professional, a DMAW MAXI award winner, an often-sought speaker on effective fundraising techniques, a member of ValueClick Media's Advisory Board, and a frequent contributor to media outlets including ABC World News, Advertising Age, CNN.com, US News & World Report, Fast Company, The Washington Post, Politico, Campaigns & Elections, USA Today, Digital Politics Radio, ClickZ, National Journal, U.S. News & World Report, Time Magazine, and numerous other news outlets. Peter and his wife Hallie live in Arlington, VA.
