Sherri Hammons joined OIT in August 2011. In her role as the Chief Technology Officer, Sherri is responsible for architecting enterprise solutions that align with the State's business goals, developing enterprise-wide standards, formulating a sustainable and agile technology strategy, and creating a roadmap for adoption of the strategy. Sherri will also drive innovation and explore emerging technologies to further OIT and the State's efficiency and effectiveness.

Sherri has over 18 years of experience developing and executing IT strategies and is an established leader who thrives on collaborating with others to use technology for transforming and simplifying business operations. Prior to coming to OIT, Sherri spent more than three years as CTO for PaySimple, a credit card and online payment processing company, overseeing technology software engineering, networking/IT, and technology support teams. She joined PaySimple after more than 12 years at Abacus, a cooperative database company for the direct marketing industry, where she was Vice President of Data and Model Performance and oversaw the company's software development for international markets. She also served as Senior Technical Architect in charge of the company's highly scalable, proprietary software, which is the largest cooperative database in the country with over 100 million households and over 5.5 billion transactions.

Sherri has a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Oklahoma and a Computer Science degree from Rogers State University.
