Quinten Johnson

 

Executive Director, Government Solutions, AT&T

Quinten Johnson was named Executive Director for AT&T Government Solutions in January 2010 and prior to that served as Sales Center Vice President for AT&T Government Solutions beginning in January 2006. Mr. Johnson was with SBC Federal Solutions prior to the acquisition of AT&T and served as the Regional Vice President in SBC from June 2000. Before SBC, Mr. Johnson was with AT&T Global Network Services where he served as Account Executive in Washington D.C. focusing on the Federal government. Mr. Johnson currently leads the Sales Engineering resources for AT&T Government Solutions for wireline voice, video and data services.

Prior to AT&T, Mr. Johnson spent 16 years with IBM Global Services where he held a variety of jobs beginning with computer operations and then programming in IBM Franklin Lakes, NJ beginning in January 1983. In 1987, Mr. Johnson moved into the sales arena as a Systems Engineer with the IBM Information Network, New York City, where he supported the northeast territory. This lead to a position as Marketing Representative focusing on strategic IBM customers for dedicated and remote access services, professional services and Internet access for the education sector.

In 1992, Mr. Johnson joined Advantis, which was the joint venture between IBM Information Network and Sears Technology Services. In 1997, IBM bought Sears’ interest in Advantis and the IBM Global Network was formed. During this period, Mr. Johnson was involved in strategic network outsourcing for successful contract wins including Campbell Soups, Merrill Lynch and Exel Logistics. Mr. Johnson was named as Program Manager in IBM’s Executive Briefing Center in Mt. Pleasant, NY where he presented IBM’s network strategy at the CEO/CIO level for IBM’s premiere accounts.

A native of New Jersey, Mr. Johnson relocated to the Washington D.C. area to continue IBM’s growth within the Federal marketplace. Mr. Johnson is a graduate of William Paterson College in Wayne, New Jersey with a B.A. in Psychology and also a graduate of the Chubb Institute of Computer Technology in Parsippany, New Jersey. He is a member of the Industry Advisory Council (IAC) and AFCEA.

Mr. Johnson resides in Northern Virginia with his wife Julie and son Raymond.
