Armand Mancini

Armand Mancini is the Vice President of Corporate Initiatives at The SI Organization, Inc. In this role he manages new strategic initiatives for the company to expand our technical capabilities and market reach. This includes new corporate partnerships, supporting M&A activities as well as new market entrance strategies and business development.

Armand has over thirty years of diverse management experience in the defense and intelligence industry and has held senior management positions in operations, finance, strategy and business development. Prior to joining the SI Org, Armand was an Associate Partner for the Intel & Defense Group at IBM (formerly National Interest Security Company “NISC”), where he led business operations. He also served as the GM for their Mission Services Group – a $100M division to integrate Edge Consulting and other portfolio companies within NISC. He was a co-founder of Edge Consulting in April 2004 and served as their CFO and a senior management consultant. In his consulting role he led a strategic M&A effort for a Fortune 50 Defense Contractor - which resulted in multiple transactions to strategically position this client in select DoD and intelligence market sectors. In 2008, Armand led the sale of the company to NISC.

Prior to forming Edge Consulting, Armand also was co-founder of ORBIMAGE Inc., where he served as their Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. ORBIMAGE was one of the first commercial providers of high resolution imagery and derived intelligence products. Prior to ORBIMAGE, Armand was the VP of Business Operations for the Space Systems Group of Orbital Sciences Corporation.

Before joining Orbital, Armand was a Comptroller and Operations Director at Vinnell Corporation, where he helped lead their Middle East operations during the first Gulf War. This included critical training programs for the Saudi Army as well as the establishment of USAF base operations at 26 sites throughout Turkey during combat operations.

Armand is a graduate of Virginia Tech (1981) and is also a Certified Public Accountant in the State of Virginia. He and his family reside in Strasburg, Virginia.
