Robert Palmer

Deputy Director (Acting), Enterprise System Development Office, Department of Homeland Security

Robert Palmer is the Acting Deputy Executive Director of the Enterprise Systems Development Office (ESDO) within the Office of the Chief Information Officer, Department of Homeland Security. OCIO's ESDO provides the planning and delivery of secure, high-quality enterprise application services for DHS customers through implementing a customer-centric business model for the efficient delivery of enterprise IT services.

Previously, he served as Director of the Information Assurance Division (IAD) within ESDO leading a team dedicated to continually supporting the rapidly changing information landscape through applying a holistic approach to security assessment and risk management enabling the delivery of flexible and innovative IT services. Mr. Palmer has also spent several years in the area of Information Assurance, Security Operations Center (SOC) design and analysis, consulting and program management with the Army, the Missile Defense Agency, and DHS' TSA.
